Western Crete has some remarkable landscapes such as the shore of Gramvousa and Elafonisos, the numerous gorges of the southern side, including Samaria gorge and many more. Indeed it is the most attractive areα for hikers as it includes the most engaging trails either on the mountains or along the south coast. The course of the E4 trail is accurately recorded on the map and the course of "the Cretan Way". On side B a detailed map of Gavdos, on a scale of 1:20.000 has been added.
